What is
WifiHandwritePad?
WifiHandwritePad uses your mobile phone to
be a handwrite recognition pad for your PC. You can input Chinese
characters (and/or other characters, such as Japanese, depends on
your mobile phone) on PC through WifiHandwritePad, without the need
of a external dedicated hardware. A PC software is run on WindowsTM
and/or Linux (Ubuntu 12.04, Fedora 17) operation system, and an Apps
is run on your AndroidTM mobile phone.

supports SofAP feature (refer to "WifiHandwritePad User
Manual.pdf" page 3)
On PC,
Start
C# server program
Click SoftAP tab
Input SSID name: e.g.
SoftAP
Input 8-12 characters on "Key" field: e.g.
12345678
Click "Start SoftAP" button
Click "Server"
tab
Select the IP address of "SoftAP"
Click "Start"
button
On Android,
Goto
Wifi Setting
Scan and you should see "SoftAP"
Connect
to "SoftAP" and input the 8-12 characters of "Key"
Android
should be connected to SoftAP if success
Start APP, click
"connect", then handwrite
Fail to run Java PC Server on Ubuntu
12.04 (Linux)?
Make sure installed packages are updated and
java is installed. Here are commands:
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get upgrade
sudo apt-get -y install default-jdk
Fail to run Java PC Server on Fedora 17 (Linux)?
Make sure installed packages are updated and java is installed. Here are commands:
sudo yum update
sudo yum upgrade
sudo yum -y install dbus-java
If there is a firewall, make sure the UDP port 18628 is NOT blocked (Please contact your system admistrator for help)
sudo system-config-firewall (then add UDP port)
Mobile phone cannot connect to PC Server?
Make sure the mobile phone is network connected (A YELLOW icon is shown if it is network connected)
Make sure the PC server is network connected and started (A YELLOW icon is shown if it is network connected and started)
If there is a firewall, make sure the UDP port 18628 is NOT blocked (Please contact your system admistrator for help)
(note: On Fedora 17, run "sudo system-config-firewall" and then add UDP port)
